2010 OLYMPICS in VANCOUVER CANADA and why leno did not compete for the Mexican team….

Written by magdaleno on March 6, 2010 – 2:15 pm -

Let me explain… I will take it slowly because I know that this could confuse you. Three years ago I was approached by the Mexican government and asked if I would join their winter Olympic team.. I was excited beyond belief.. me going to the Olympics with the Mexican Team… just wish my parents were alive to see all this.

I soon began training in my key sports, the 5,000 meter ice skating race, Cross Country skiing, and the bobsled..did you wonder  about all the times when you could not reach me..well .. that was because I was in training… it was a hard road … and it was not until recently that I found out about the new drug testing… and I got worried about what they might find…

Seems that they are now testing for jalapenos, green chili, and refried beans. On the surface and below the surface this is a most racist and imperialist attack against all Mexicans and Chicanos…

The IOC.. the International Olympic Committee alleges that Jalapenos and green chilis are like an athletic Viagra.. that it allows some athletes to perform beyond their normal abilities.. and the IOC also alleges that a constant intake of refried beans could give a special tailwind booster that could shave seconds or perhaps minutes in a race. And I did not want to allow myself to be tested. What part of my anatomy would they be testing I wondered and feared.

Well I did not want to be disqualified and have it all over the media so I decided to quietly remove myself from contention… I know that I have disappointed many including the government of Mexico but I have to have my jalapenos, green chili –and refried beans.

THE 1968 OLYMPICS let us know that there was a movement that was brought to millions  by two black American athletes that raised their fists when receiving their medals.. This action changed their lives and the life of a young Australian sprinter who supported their human rights and took the Silver Medal that day. SALUTE a wonderful documentary directed my Matt Norman should be seen by all …to arrange a showing of this amazing film please contact Michael Favelle…michael@odinseyeent.com.

Another amazing companion piece to this is film is a wonderful book called SOMETHING IN THE AIR…this gives a comprehensive review of the entire 1968 Olympic team and the racist politics of the time.

The more you learn about 1968 the more you will want to know … could start you on a road to the revolution…

TEA BAGGERS OVER SHADOWED BY COALITION FOR REVENUE

On Monday Feb. 15,   2,000 Tea Baggers arrived at 10 am at the capitol in Olympia to hold a rally asking for more cuts to the state budget and no new taxes.. I was there and could see that these folks mostly white except for about 10 people of color were cheering actions that would be against their own interests.. it was laughable because one speaker said that they were RADICALS and were the NEW REVOLUTION.. it was funny because they really don’t like radicals or revolutionaries

This was followed up by Coalition of 6,000 two hours later at noon calling for revenue and no cuts sponsored by the Coalition for Our Economic Future. This was a wonderful spirited rally which was very diverse and included many ethnic groups, races and people of different ages …it was a beautiful picture of the coalition.
Below is clip of the Rally and a follow up PSA which you should see. Yep leno is in both.

Joe the Plumber goes off on McCain, says he ‘screwed up my life’

By Eric Zimmermann – 02/14/10 11:12 AM ET

Joe the Plumber is no longer a fan of either Sarah Palin or John McCain, it seems.

Joe, also known as Sam Wurzelbacher, told an audience in Pennsylvania this week that McCain “is no public servant.”
“McCain was trying to use me,” Wurzelbacher said, according to public radio correspondent Scott Detrow. “I happened to be the face of middle Americans. It was a ploy.”

“I don’t owe him s―,” Wurzelbacher continued. “He really screwed my life up, is how I look at it.”

In fact, Wurzelbacher’s dislike for McCain is so strong that he no longer supports Sarah Palin simply because Palin will campaign for McCain’s re-election.

As for Obama: “I think his ideology is un-American, but he’s one of the more honest politicians. At least he told us what he wanted to do.”

GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

There are many ways to give to your community.. take a few moments and give something back. A little bit of your time can make a big difference in some ones life.. make the time to give. Or join an organizations working for change. You can always join the Social Justice Fund and work for change. You don’t have to live in the Northwest to become a member.. you just need to do more and do it now.

My best
leno
